What is more fun than beach, sands and of course waves and waves of water?
The answer- Capturing everything and literally everything with your camera. Problem is not all cameras are designed to go underwater. Well I have my eyes on some cameras that are technically going to make me poor the moment I buy them because of that underwater feature…but hey I am resourceful and yes still overly thrifty…so two years ago I bought one of the best finds…a waterproof pouch…^_^….and yes summer IS much more fun…
What is its use?
Well it is not a replacement of a camera or a camera phone, to buy it of course you have to have one first even if it isn’t a waterproof type…kidding aside…it is usually a plastic material to protect the camera or any electronic gadget from water. I often use it for my camera but I also have one for my cellphone and I also found some store selling for mp3 players or i-pods.
Where to find it?
Technically you can inquire at any camera shops or electronic gadgets and accessories shops. If you are not so concern about the price, just go to professional camera shops which of course sell professional cameras. Its the best place to find one, but if you are budget conscious, I suggest that you just roam at electronic accessories shops like Games and Gadgets since they also sell the stuff. I also suggest that you look at travel accessories shops like Digital Walker and surprisingly aside from bags and travel kits, this is where I bought the best deal for my camera.
How much is it?
Well thrifty or not this is still a special stuff, the prices varies depending on the size, the material and the quality of the pouch and the type of gadget it is being used for (camera, i-pod, cellphone, etc). The cheapest is around less than 500 and the most expensive could cost about 2000 to 3000 or more. Well not all cameras are the same and not all pouches are applicable to all of them so you can’t insist on the 500 amount, it depends on what type of camera you already have. I was planning to buy the same cheap one I bought for my Cellphone which is very thin but the bulk size of my camera specially it’s zoom lens would not work with it. Its advisable to consider first the type of camera you are using, specially its size and its features (zoom lenses, button type options etc) in considering your budget for it.
These ingenious stuff is one of the must have this season so don’t worry that you can’t capture and brag about your adventure. All you have to do is be resourceful, find the right stuff and enjoy the summer while it lasts.
